- Avoiding light and hot temperatures: Candle wax and scents are sensitive to light and temperature so the secret is to be careful hoe and where you store them, for example always try to store them in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight, this will stop discolouration and fading.
- Maximising the scent throw: in order to get a beautiful strong scent thrown in a room, keep your doors and windows shut and burn melts or scented candle for half hour. Opening windows and doors will help disperse the scent.
- Blackened edges of glass container: if your candle glass is starting to blacken remember to keep the wick trimmed. Also to clean the black marks wait until the candle is extinguished and cooled before cleaning with a dry paper towel.
- Extinguishing the wick: to put out your candle flame, use a snuffer or carefully dip the wick into melted and then straighten to prevent smoking and prevent hot wax splatter, try to avoid blowing the candle out and do not extinguish candle with water.
